2015 Chrysler Review : 2015 Chrysler 200

The 2015 Chrysler 200 was scheduled to debut at next week’s 2014 Detroit auto show, but a significant number of photos have recently leaked on the web. That said, here are a dozen or so photos revealing a clear view of Chrysler’s upcoming entrant in the midsize sedan segment.

Overall, the 2015 200 sheds the boxy and frumpy look of its predecessor, and is sporting a rather attractive and rakish roofline. Designers weren’t shy with the LED lighting elements, which can be found on the lower edge of the headlight housings and the taillights. Chrysler’s badge is centered within the narrow mesh grille. In addition to an incognito metallic gray paint color, the new 200 should also be offered in a striking shade of blue.

The interior is dramatically better, too. Photos reveal leather seats with interesting stitch patterns, while the dashboard features an accent piece that surrounds the instrument panel and carries over to the center stack. Below is a rotary-style gear shift knob, which likely connects to an available nine-speed automatic sourced from ZF. A 184-hp 2.4-liter I-4 should serve as the base engine, while a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 making close to 300 hp could be optional. Assuming more details don’t leak before the official reveal next week, that’s all the info we have on the upcoming midsizer, but it should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from the next-gen 200. \
