Facelifted Nissan Juke Nismo RS Gets a Power Boost as Well for Europe

Like the regular 2015 Nissan Juke that was revealed today at the Geneva Motor Show, the performance version of the series named the Juke Nismo RS gains new boomerang shaped headlamps and other minor cosmetic revisions, but more importantly, it also gets an 18hp boost for the 1.6-liter turbo'd engine that now delivers 215hp (218PS) in European spec (the N.A. model already had 215hp).

Peak torque on front-wheel drive models with the standard six-speed manual increases from 250Nm (184 lb-ft) to 280Nm (206 lb-ft), with Nissan dropping in a mechanical Limited Slip Differential on the updated version. Four-wheel drive models that come with Torque Vectoring and Nissan's CVT X-tronic transmission with paddle shifts and an eight-speed manual mode continue to produce 250Nm of torque.

Nissan says the performance gains are accompanied by an improved soundtrack, thanks to the re-tuned exhaust system with a larger diameter muffler.

The Japanese firm made structural changes to the body to increase torsional stiffness, while other chassis-related changes include the enhanced braking system with bigger 320mm front disk brakes and ventilated rear discs, and revised spring and damper settings.
