The concept is based on the Chinese-market long wheelbase DS 5, but that’s where the similarities drop off. Citroen outfitted the 5LS R with a brutish, WRC-inspired 1.6-liter turbocharged engine (also found in the Peugeot RCZ), producing 300-horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The chassis has been lowered by 15mm and features a wider front-track than the standard DS 5, along with a new set of brakes.

All that muscle is put to the ground through a sequential paddle-shift gearbox that will likely power the front wheels, though Citroen hasn’t revealed those details just yet.
